Emory McGinnis Eison

I have been blessed to volunteer across many areas of the Fraternity. From serving on a local Alumnae Advisory Committee to Grand Council, each volunteer opportunity brings unique perspectives and lessons. I am most proud of being able to balance my commitment to my family while serving our Fraternity; I always want to show potential volunteers if they have a passion to serve, then there is a place for them that meets the time they can give.

Pi Phi has also given me my best friends. From the sisters I met in college to the leaders I serve with today, these are the women I call with both tears and celebrations.

Natalie Mayo Deak

Across both my professional and Pi Phi leadership experiences, I’ve been shaped by women who believe in lifting as they climb. I’m always learning from those around me, carrying pieces of their wisdom as I grow and lead. I am proud to lead the commercial health plan team of lawyers at a large health insurance company, and I know the skills and experiences I’ve gained through Pi Phi help me lead my team and be a trusted partner to my business clients.

Personally, Pi Phi has provided me with a lifelong community rooted in friendship and growth. As an alumna, the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles has helped me grow as both a person and a leader, all while building connections that continue to enrich my life.

Elizabeth Kiss

For me, leadership is about how we show up in both big and small ways. I’ve also come to understand that if we draw on our individual strengths, everyone can be a leader—it will simply look different from person to person. The leadership experiences I’m most proud of involve mentoring others as they work toward their individual goals, especially during my time serving as a Regional Finance/Housing Specialist, when I witnessed collegians and fellow alumnae leaders master skills that were new to them.

Personally, Pi Phi has impacted my life in so many ways! From the friendships I’ve made to the skills I’ve had an opportunity to learn and practice, there is not a day that goes by where I couldn’t point to at least one example of Pi Phi’s impact.

Catherine Roosevelt McCluskey

I’ve worked as a non-profit leader and fundraiser in New York City for 15 years, but my professional leadership journey truly began in 2007 when I worked for the Fraternity as a Leadership Development Consultant. In that role, and every role I’ve held since, I’ve kept mission at the forefront. One of my proudest career moments has been serving as Camp Director for my organization’s three-week sleepaway camp in Lake Placid, New York. Creating magical summers for kids was the most fun!

Pi Phi has remained relevant to my life in ways I never could have anticipated. There has always been an opportunity to serve, grow, mentor and be mentored, share my talents and be cultivated into a fuller version of myself. Every role has brought new sisters into my life that have become lifelong friends I never would have known.

Lisa Gamel Scott

Since serving as Chapter President and a Traveling Graduate Consultant, I’ve always been involved but my Pi Phi path has been an evolution. Following years of local alumnae service, my professional skill set in finance and fundraising took me to Pi Beta Phi Foundation.

It has been an honor to volunteer in various roles, but it was a supreme privilege to serve as Grand President—and now Grand Vice President Finance/Housing—alongside capable, passionate women and dedicated staff. The women I’ve met have brought meaning and love to my life—shared moments shaping a lifelong sisterhood and a gift that helps us grow.

Pi Phi has had a meaningful impact on my life by giving me opportunities to grow both as a leader and an individual. Through volunteering in several roles—including Foundation Committee Member, Trustee and now President—I have sharpened my speaking skills, learned to be a better listener and found my voice. Professionally, I have had a diverse career spanning client services and sales.

These experiences have strengthened my personal growth and supported my professional development, but beyond leadership, Pi Phi has given me a strong network of friendships that continue to support and inspire me.

Connell Sullivan Branan

My leadership journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to serving organizations whose work uplifts women and children, and I have found it both inspirational and deeply educational to work alongside women of different ages, perspectives and geographical backgrounds. One of my proudest moments came during my tenure as President of American Mothers, Inc., when we convened a bipartisan panel of congresswomen to address issues affecting women and children. That experience reminded me a mother’s unconditional love and investment in the next generation of leaders is like the sisterhood at the heart of Pi Beta Phi: where women are united by a Lifelong Commitment to growth and service, and where those shared values forge Sincere Friendships across generations.

Pi Beta Phi has been one of the greatest blessings in my life, gifting me with friendships, leadership opportunities and a constant source of growth. What makes it truly special is the legacy I share with the women I love most—my grandmother, mother and daughter.

Alison Veit Heafitz

Since moving to the Washington, D.C. area in 1998, I have enjoyed volunteering for Pi Phi and saying “yes” when asked to serve in a variety of positions! The friends I have made while volunteering have been more fulfilling than I ever could have imagined.

I didn’t truly understand our values of Lifelong Commitment and Sincere Friendship until I had served as a volunteer for many years, and I hope all members take advantage of serving the Fraternity. The most valuable reward is the relationships you make and the impact you can have on future members and volunteers.

Donna Butterworth

My leadership journey within Pi Beta Phi spans nearly two decades. I began serving in finance roles as both a collegian and alumna and later advanced to regional and international roles. Since 2020, my work with Pi Beta Phi Foundation has been especially meaningful. I’m proud to contribute to the long-term financial stewardship of the Foundation while helping ensure resources are aligned with Pi Phi’s mission and the evolving needs of our members.

While my collegiate experience was meaningful, I often say I gained even more through my years of alumnae service. Pi Phi gave me access to leadership opportunities that helped me grow, achieve more in my career and believe in what’s possible. I continue to serve and support the Foundation so future generations can do the same.

Barbra Boyen Littrell

A leadership experience I am most proud of is balancing the roles of being a mom and wife alongside pursuing a professional career. It has been a journey filled with challenges, joy and growth. Navigating these responsibilities has taught me resilience, adaptability and the importance of prioritizing both family and work.

Pi Phi has also played a meaningful role in shaping who I am today; it gave me countless opportunities to grow, take on new challenges and discover my passions. The leadership roles I held within my chapter set me on a path after graduation—not only toward my chosen career, but also toward a lifelong love for travel and adventure. What I appreciate most is the network of friends I’ve built across the country. These inspiring women continually encourage me to be my best self, and their support has meant so much throughout every phase of my life.

Kim Barger Durand

My leadership journey began in the Oregon Alpha Chapter facility where I served as Vice President Mental and Chapter President. I later served as a Pi Beta Phi consultant and have remained in leadership roles for nearly 35 years. The lessons I learned as an emerging leader have enabled me to lead in my professional life as the Deputy Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator for the University of Washington Athletics Department where I’ve been for 21 years.

Pi Phi has had a profound impact on my life. It has given me best friends I have depended on through life’s ups and downs and made me the leader I am by providing role models, truth tellers and mentors at every stage.

Carol Calkins

Professionally, I am an accomplished certified public accountant and retired partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, I established myself as a leader in state and local tax and have remained active in corporate governance and community service. I’m proud to hold various local leadership and advisory positions, including in the arts and non-profit spaces.

Personally, Pi Phi has made an impact on my life by serving as my moral compass. It is true that our sisterhood creates lifelong friendships as I am still in regular contact with my big sisters and little sister. Staying engaged as an alumna has also given me meaningful connections and allowed me to support my passion for literacy.

Beth Torres

I have been an engaged volunteer since graduating from college. From my first leadership opportunity with my local alumnae club to supporting collegians on Alumnae Advisory Committees, helping establish an alumnae panhellenic and serving as both a Foundation Trustee and international officer, I have supported Pi Phi for years. This sisterhood has given me some of my dearest friends—women I admire, trust and count on every day.

Professionally, I’m fortunate to do work I love everyday as President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee; building strong communities is a deep passion of mine.

Outside of work and school, I love to travel, create artwork and explore the outdoors! This summer, I had the opportunity to show my artwork in the Venice Biennale Art Exhibition in Italy and backpack three of Colorado’s 14,000 ft mountains!

Julie Molitor

I support strategy, engagement and special projects across Pi Beta Phi and help lead cross-functional projects that strengthen how members connect with and experience Pi Phi. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my two sons, usually at soccer fields or school activities. I also love home design and creating warm, timeless spaces with a traditional style.

I ensure Fraternity and Foundation events keep members connected to the organization. Members may contact me about fundraising initiatives, donor and volunteer engagement, major and planned giving, stewardship and Foundation partnerships. I partner with members, volunteers, donors and Pi Beta Phi Foundation leaders to strengthen engagement and support Pi Phi’s mission through philanthropy. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Russ, and our pets, Jane, Riley and Sonny. I also enjoy cooking, traveling and volunteering for my member organization and Junior League.

I am the go-to person for all data-related questions within Pi Beta Phi Foundation, helping to turn annual goals into measurable metrics. I am working behind the scenes to ensure our department is running smoothly, allowing my team to be effective stewards of our mission. While I am not working, you can find me outside enjoying local parks with my two small children and husband. I love to read, go to the movies and have weekend brunch with my friends.

Lindsey Scheetz

If you are interested in volunteering with the Foundation, I’m your person. I work closely with our chapters and alumnae clubs and their fundraising efforts for Pi Beta Phi Foundation. I love to engage with our members in all aspects of their Pi Phi journey and help them find a way to give that is meaningful to them. In my free time, I love to spend time in St. Louis with my three daughters and husband. You can also find me talking on the phone to my sister and listening to Taylor Swift.
