Better Together

As true friends, we celebrate each sister’s individuality and build meaningful relationships rooted in empathy, respect, support and belonging. Together, we create an inclusive sisterhood where every member feels valued, connected, and empowered to make a positive impact in their communities.

Legacy Status and Recruitment

Pi Phi values the special connections that come with legacy relationships, including daughters, sisters and granddaughters of initiated members. At the same time, legacy status does not guarantee an invitation or membership. Each Potential New Member is considered individually during recruitment, and each chapter makes decisions based on their own membership selection process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Pi Phi legacy?

A legacy is a daughter, sister or granddaughter of an initiated Pi Phi member. Some chapters may include additional relationships based on their local bylaws.

Can I share that I’m a legacy during recruitment?

Yes. You may indicate your legacy status on your Panhellenic recruitment application if that option is available. You’re also welcome to share this connection in conversations during recruitment.

Does being a legacy guarantee me a bid?

No. While legacy relationships are meaningful and valued, they do not guarantee an invitation or membership. Each Potential New Member is considered individually, and chapters make their own membership decisions.

Who makes membership decisions?

Each Pi Phi chapter is responsible for selecting its own members. Decisions are made through a thoughtful and confidential process based on the chapter’s membership criteria and values.
