Our Roots

The Maryland–D.C. Suburban Alumnae Club, chartered in 1960, has long operated alongside the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia Alumnae Clubs. After D.C. Alpha reestablished, the Washington, D.C. Alumnae Club formed a young alumnae group—now the Nation’s Capital Alumnae Club. In 2015, to serve alumnae who were looking for more connection, the Maryland–D.C. Suburban Alumnae Club expanded its membership. Today, it encompasses Pi Phis in Maryland’s D.C. suburbs as well as Washington, D.C. alumnae 15+ years post-college.
