Our Roots
Installation weekend, held November 15-17, 2002, marked the official beginning of California Nu with a series of meaningful ceremonies and celebrations. Festivities began with an alumnae Initiation and a Preparatory Service in Huesman Hall, as well as a Cookie Shine that brought members together in sisterhood.Led by past Grand President Sarah Ruth “Sis” Mullis, South Carolina Alpha, 71 collegians and three alumna initiates were welcomed during the Initiation Ceremony at the Holy Activity Parish. The weekend also included an installation banquet at the Renaissance Hotel where the chapter received several commemorative gifts. The celebration concluded with the installation of chapter officers, a model chapter meeting and a reception attended by more than 200 guests, including family, friends and university representatives.
