Ruth was the first woman to serve or chair several boards, including the Salvation Army Dallas Advisory Board, the board of Goodwill Industries and the chair of the Board of Trustees of Southern Methodist University. She was also inducted into the Texas Woman’s Hall of Fame. The Dallas Morning News wrote that she helped raise tens of millions of dollars for charity, including a personal donation of $1 million to the United Way of Dallas. In 2008, the Smithsonian Institution’s Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars bestowed their Award for Public Service to Ruth in honor of her achievements.

Renie has worked in the sports industry for nearly 30 years and was named chief revenue officer and executive vice president, NFL Partnerships by Commissioner Roger Goodell in 2019. She oversees global partnerships, including sponsorships, consumer products, new business and media sales with partners such as Nike, PepsiCo, Apple, Verizon and Microsoft. She has been honored as a Hall of Fame 40 under 40 member, a Game Changer by Sports Business Journal, number six on the Most Powerful Women in Sports list by Forbes and Adweek and a WISE Woman of Year.

Renie was initiated in 1994.

Eugenie Anderson made history in 1949 when President Harry S. Truman appointed her as United States Ambassador to Denmark, making her the first woman in American history to serve as chief of mission at the ambassadorial level. During her tenure, she learned Danish, negotiated the use of Danish military bases in Greenland for American aircraft, helped draw Denmark into a more active role in NATO and became the first woman to sign an international treaty when she signed the Treaty of Commerce and Friendship. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy appointed Eugenie Minister to Bulgaria, making her the first American woman to serve diplomatically behind the Iron Curtain as well as the first woman to serve as ambassador to multiple countries. In 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson selected Eugenie to represent the U.S. on the United Nations Trusteeship Council. She later became the first woman to sit on the United Nations Security Council.

Eugenie’s path to diplomacy was rooted in grassroots political organizing. She joined the League of Women Voters in 1938 and went on to help found the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party in Minnesota in 1944 alongside future Vice President Hubert Humphrey, a lifelong advocate of her diplomatic appointments. She retired in 1968 and was later inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.

Jayne is a former American basketball center who played for the San Antonio Stars. She was chosen in the first round of the 2010 Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) draft. That same year, she earned a place on the U.S. National Team and helped lead Team USA to a gold medal at the 2010 FIBA World Championship. She was also one of 21 finalists for the U.S. Women’s Olympic Basketball Team Roster for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

After losing part of her left leg at six years old due to an accident, Sydney went on to become the first Paralympian to compete for Stanford University. She won gold in the 200 meter at the Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile in November 2023, and silver at the World Championships in Kobe, Japan in May 2023. She has also competed in the 100 meter and 200 meter races in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Dr. Leona Baumgartner was an American physician and public health leader who became one of the most influential women in medicine during the 20^th century. Dedicating her career to improving maternal and child health, her research on infant and maternal mortality, infectious diseases and preventive healthcare helped shape public health policy and expand access to medical services for underserved populations. In 1954, she made history as the first woman appointed Commissioner of Health for New York City, where she led major vaccination campaigns and public health initiatives.

Leona’s groundbreaking contributions earned her several honors throughout her career. She was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1969. She also received a Public Welfare Medal from the National Academy of Sciences as well as the Albert Lasker Public Service Award and the Elizabeth Blackwell Award. Following her tenure as health commissioner, she served as vice president of the The Commonwealth Fund, helping guide national healthcare and medical research initiatives.

Jenette “Nettie” Bolles was a physician who helped open the field of osteopathic medicine to women. As the first woman to study and practice osteopathy, she built a successful career in Colorado at a time when few women entered the profession. Nettie specialized in diseases of the urinary system, bladder and kidneys.

In addition to her medical practice, she was the first editor and publisher of the “Journal of Osteopathy,” helping advance knowledge and communication within the field. She was also a member of the national, state and local osteopathic associations and became the founding president of the American Colleges of Osteopathy in 1898. Nettie received the American Osteopathic Association Distinguished Service Certificate in 1925 for her pioneering role in creating opportunities for women in osteopathic medicine.

Nettie was initiated in 1883.

Eugenie Bondurant is an American actress and performer who began her career as a fashion model. Her early screen credits include appearances in television series such as “One Tree Hill,” “The Walking Dead” and “NCIS: New Orleans.”

Eugenie gained international recognition for her portrayal of Tigris, the former Hunger Games stylist, in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.” She later earned widespread praise for her performance as The Crones in “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” a role that showcased her background in movement and physical acting.

Eugenie was initiated in 1979.

Marjorie Bowker earned her law degree from the University of Alberta and built a legal career at a time when women were significantly underrepresented in the profession. She was appointed to the Provincial Court of Alberta before being elevated to the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, where she ultimately served as Associate Chief Justice—one of the highest-ranking positions held by a woman in Alberta’s judiciary at the time. Marjorie served as Judge of the Family and Juvenile Courts of Alberta from 1966 to 1983, becoming the first woman to hold that position.

Following her retirement from the bench, she turned to writing, authoring several bestselling books on public affairs and legal issues. Throughout her career, she mentored younger lawyers, particularly women entering the profession, and helped create pathways for future generations of women in Canadian law and public service. In 1990, Marjorie was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada—the country’s highest civilian honor—in recognition of her contributions to the administration of justice and to Canadian society.

Anne Bremner is an attorney, legal analyst and television commentator known for her work in criminal law, civil rights and high-profile litigation. Throughout her career, she has built a national reputation as both an advocate in the courtroom and a trusted voice explaining complex legal issues to the public.

Anne began her career as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Seattle, where she specialized in prosecuting sex crimes. She later entered private practice and became a nationally recognized legal analyst, providing commentary on major criminal and civil cases for networks including CNN, MSNBC, FOX and HLN. Through her work in law, media and public speaking, she has helped audiences better understand the legal system and its impact on society.

Anne was initiated in 1977.

Louise is co-founder and chair of the Getty Conservation Council and serves as trustee emerita of Pomona College. With more than 35 years of experience in private and public media, she began her career as a documentary filmmaker and later took on management roles, including president of distribution for Lifetime Entertainment Services and general manager of Lifetime Movie Network. She is a founder of the Southern California Public Radio, now known as LAist, and has served on the national PBS Board.

Louise was initiated in 1963.

Barbara Blanks Bullard is an award-winning watercolorist who holds a degree in art education and fine art from the University of Tennessee. Barbara spent most of her career as a secondary art educator in both public and private schools, an experience which solidified her belief that creative expression is an integral part of the human experience. Since retiring, Barbara spends her time as a studio artist and is involved in various arts organizations such as the Tennessee Watercolor Society, the Tennessee Art League and the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Aside from her various features in art exhibitions, some of her honors include being named a National Woman in the Arts and being a featured Tennessee artist at the Nashville International Airport in 2024.

Barbara was initiated in 1970.
