Our Roots
Past Grand President Carolyn Helman Lichtenberg, Ohio Alpha, officially installed the California Kappa Chapter. Following the Initiation Ceremony, new initiates gathered in Del Mar, California, for a dinner prepared by members of the Del Sol North and North County, San Diego, Alumnae Clubs. For more than 15 years, Amy worked as a beauty executive at notable companies including Smashbox, Kate Somerville and Josie Maran Cosmetics. As someone who has struggled with chronic eczema, she was unable to try the products on her own skin. Amy saw this as an opportunity to create Tower28, a beauty company inclusive of all skin tones, skin types, budgets and beauty philosophies. Tower28 is the only beauty brand that adheres to the National Eczema Association’s Ingredient Guidelines across both skincare and color cosmetics, and it has since won several Allure Best of Beauty Awards. At Tower28, Amy is passionate about creating accessible, irritant-free products that are both high-performance and fun to use for those with sensitive skin.
Amy was initiated in 1996.
