Our Roots
A local group of women, Alpha Omega, formed in 1913 before officially becoming the Florida Beta Chapter in 1921. The chapter was installed by Grand Secretary Lulu Clark Ingraham, Virginia Alpha, and the Initiation Ceremony took place at the Practice House, a model home supervised by the University’s home economics department. A celebratory banquet was then held at the Leon Hotel in Tallahassee, Florida.Collegiate Chapter Leadership
