Our Roots
Illinois Zeta was installed in 1895 by past Grand President Grace Lass Sisson, Illinois Delta, and Jessie Davidson, Illinois Delta. Initiation took place at the home of Illinois Beta Nellie Lapham Swigart on South Neil Street. Following initiation, an elegant banquet was hosted, and the members held their first Cookie Shine. The charter members are memorialized in the Vabelman Award each year, named from the first letters of each charter member’s name.Collegiate Chapter Leadership

When you're with her, you’re home
Pi Phi chapter facilities are where friendships take root, leaders find their voice and sisterhood shines across generations. From memories made over shared meals to the built-in support from late-night study sessions and knowing your sisters are there in both the big and small moments, living in a chapter facility creates a sense of home and belonging within every wall.
