Our Roots
Founded in 1951 as the Arlington-Alexandria Alumnae Club and rechartered in 1962 as the Northern Virginia Alumnae Club, the club has built a long-standing tradition of leadership, service and sisterhood. In 1998, the club established The Arrow Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local and national literacy initiatives, which has contributed more than $100,000 to literacy efforts. The club also maintains a strong commitment to supporting collegiate chapters throughout the region, including helping install Virginia Iota in 2014.
